Prayer and Liturgy
Morning, lunch and evening prayers are said or sung in each classroom. These may be traditional prayers, spontaneous prayers from the children or chosen by the teacher. Prayers that are often used are as follows:
Morning Prayer
EYFS KS1 and KS2
Oh my God I give to you Oh my God you love me,
All that I think and say and do, You're with me night and day,
All my work and all my happy play, I want to love you always,
I will give to God today. In all I do and say,
Amen I'll try to please You Father,
Bless me through the day.
Amen.
Lunchtime Prayers
Grace Before Meals Grace After Meals
Bless us O Lord We give you thanks, Almighty God,
As we sit together For all your benefits,
Bless the food we eat today Who live and reign,
Bless the hands that made the food World without end.
Bless us O Lord Amen
Amen.
Evening Prayer
God our Father I come to say
Thank You for Your love today
Thank You for my family
And all the friends You give to me
Guard me in the dark of night
And in the morning send Your light
Amen.
