If we live by truth and in love, we shall grow in Christ

The Year 1 children had fun being Palaeontologists!

The children thoroughly enjoyed the ‘Fossil Hunt’ workshop during Science Day on Thursday. They heard how fossils were formed and then took part in an activity where they were digging and observing fossil specimens.  There was much excitement when the leader introduced the children to her own little Parasaurolophus!

The children also worked in pairs to create a tree using just four pieces of A4 paper and scissors. Although a very tricky challenge, the children persevered and achieved some great creations.

The children looked great on World Book Day when they dressed up as a book character of their choice for the day.  They had fun taking part in a drama workshop to help them create a short story of their own. They were also actively engaged listening to and participating in traditional stories told by the storyteller John Kirk.

Have a lovely weekend!
