If we live by truth and in love, we shall grow in Christ

Tidy - Emily Gravett

This week we have listened to the story ‘Tidy’ by Emily Gravett.  The Nursery children enjoyed the rhythmic, rhyming text in this woodland story. Pete the badger likes everything to be neat and tidy, but Pete’s tidying ends with the destruction of the forest!  We talked about the important message of how and why we should be taking care of our natural environment and the beauty of the seasons.

On Thursday, Mrs Train led the Nursery children in a drama workshop linked to the story.  The children imagined themselves on a walk through the forest to meet Pete and acted out meeting several different woodland animals on the way.

We have enjoyed having some of the Nursery parents in school to help us plant out our sunflowers and some lovely Busy Lizzies which were kindly donated by the Whatnall Family. Thank you for your support with the children’s learning.

Have a lovely weekend and Happy Father’s Day!
