If we live by truth and in love, we shall grow in Christ

Paddington's Adventures!

During our English lessons, the children have enjoyed listening to the ‘Mishaps’ that Paddington has found himself in. Through this work, the children have been trying hard to write sentences using a variety of punctuation and completed the unit by writing their own Paddington adventure. Next week, we will begin our non-fiction text on The Great Fire of London. We are looking forward to our workshop on the 20th May. Thank you to all those who have volunteered to help, and I will be in touch this week to finalise arrangements.

The children are working hard in Maths and have continued to use addition and subtraction to explore ways to make the same total.

Throughout RE lessons, the children have been learning about the Ascension of the Lord and Thursday’s Mass helped to consolidate this learning. A very big well done to those children who participated by reading the bidding prayers. We will be concluding our Holidays and Holydays topic this week by learning about Pentecost.

The children will be designing their vehicle in D and T this week. We will be using small cardboard boxes for this task so would appreciate if you could begin to save these.

As the weather is beginning to become warmer, please can you ensure that your child has a hat and water bottle.

Hope you enjoy the sunshine at the weekend!
