Welcome to Year 4!
We are so excited to embark on an exciting year of learning and growth with the children in Year 4!
This year, our primary focus will be on enhancing the children’s fluency and confidence with their times tables in preparation for the Multiplication Times Table Check. Mastering these skills will not only support their mathematical understanding but will also give them a strong foundation for future learning.
In addition to building their mathematical skills, we will place a strong emphasis on fostering independence. Through a variety of activities and strategies, we aim to encourage the children to take greater responsibility for their learning, helping them to grow as confident, self-reliant learners.
Year 4 is also about continuing the journey from Year 3. The children will build on the knowledge and skills they have already acquired, applying them in more complex and creative ways across all areas of the curriculum. From writing more detailed stories to exploring exciting scientific concepts and deepening their understanding of history and geography, there is so much to look forward to this year.
We can't wait to see the amazing progress each child will make in Year 4. Together, we’ll work hard, have fun, and achieve wonderful things!
Here’s to a fantastic year of learning and discovery!
